The goal of the chapter one project was to do a sample/observational study of the types of shoes our classmates wore to stats class during September in Michigan. We wanted see what kind of shoe was worn the least and what kind of shoe was worn the most. It was a blind survey, our classmates did not know we were observing them as they walked into class. After the survey was complete, we were able to make a pie chart of the data. This type of graph made it easy to see as a whole what type of shoe was worn the most and least. This project helped us understand data sampling concepts and how to eliminate under coverage, and sampling error.
